Grand Challenges in Global Health is a research initiative launched by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in search of innovative solutions to health problems in the developing world.
Each year, Grand Challenges hosts an annual meeting co-sponsored by USAID, The Wellcome Trust, and Grand Challenges Canada that brings together leading scientists and researchers for a multi-day conference to discuss progress and challenges with the latest global health initiatives.
